Traditionally, neon signs were made from glass containing neon gas. However, technology has significantly improved and has provided an affordable and safer solution through the use of LED neon lights.

All our neons are hand crafted from eco-friendly LED. This means that not only is your sign far cheaper than traditional glass neon, but it is also brighter, more streamlined, and doesn’t hum like mosquito lamp around a camp fire....

Our neons are encased with a PVC cover, and their low voltage ensures that the case never overheats, and the power bill never hurts your pocket.

Also unlike traditional glass neon, we can add dimmers our lights meaning they are much more suitable to indoor use, and won't overwhelm your space. 

Most LED neon signs have a lifespan of 2 to 4 years,
depending on usage and maintenance.

Tips to Extend the Life of Your LED Neon Sign

1. Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity.
2. Avoid Moisture. Keep the sign away from moisture and water unless it was
   specifically ordered as waterproof.
3. Regular Cleaning. Dust and dirt can accumulate, reducing brightness. Clean
   your sign gently with a soft cloth and a mild cleaner.
4. Avoid Overheating. Ensure proper ventilation and do not cover the sign. Avoid
   placing it near heat sources.
5. Use a Surge Protector. Protect your sign from power surges and fluctuations to
   prevent electrical damage.

Check the LED Driver/Power Pack

The LED driver (or power pack) typically has a green light
indicator. If this light is off, the driver may not be functioning, which could
cause the sign to go out suddenly.

Limit Continuous Use

While LED signs are designed for long-term use, consider
turning them off when not needed to extend their lifespan.

Indicators That Your LED Neon Sign is nearing end-of-life

• Flickering Lights 

If you notice flickering or inconsistent lighting, it may
indicate a failing component.

• Dimness 

A significant reduction in brightness could signal that the LEDs are aging or malfunctioning.

• Color Changes 

Unusual color shifts might suggest a problem with the LED chips or circuitry.

• Physical Damage

Check for cracks or damage in the housing that could affect
performance.

• Power Issues

 If the sign suddenly goes off, first check the LED driver/power pack. If the green light is off, it may need replacement.

We offer a one year manufacturers warranty on all products from the date of purchase. Simply contact us if there is an issue.

This warranty is only valid for faulty products and not general wear, tear or damage, or for water ingress on non-waterproofed signs.

A replacement will only be issued once an inspection of the faulty sign has taken place.

Warranty

Neon Signs NZ Ltd warrants that all custom LED neon signs purchased through our website are free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery. If a defect arises during the warranty period, Neon Signs NZ Ltd will repair or replace the defective product, at its sole discretion.

This warranty does not cover:

1. Normal wear and tear.
2. Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or negligence.
3. Modifications or repairs made by unauthorized third parties.
4. Damage caused by failure to follow care instructions or installation guidelines provided by Neon Signs NZ Ltd.
5. Installation or associated costs, including but not limited to, electrician fees, mounting hardware, or any other expenses incurred in installing or removing the product.

To obtain warranty service, please contact Neon Signs NZ Ltd at sales@neonsigns.co.nz. Proof of purchase and description of the defect may be required. Shipping costs related to warranty service are the responsibility of the customer.

We can produce custom neon signage at a wholesale rates based on minimum order quantities.

By purchasing from our website using our custom neon builder you will be agreeing to the following terms: 

Any custom neon designs that progresses from the custom neon builder will be sent directly into production immediately. We generally will not accept any cancellations from the point of purchase but will consider these on a case-by-case basis.

No returns will be accepted upon a purchaser changing their mind. The product will be replaced under our one year manufacturers warranty if the product is deemed faulty. 

All sizes shown and styles of font displayed on the custom builder are approximate. Please note these are hand made items so it will always slightly vary. The actual size is determined by font height and sign length is scaled according to your font choice and the number of characters.

approximate sizing is: 

XS - approx 10cm high per letter
S - approx 15-20cm high per letter
M - approx 20 - 40cm high per letter
L 40cm - 50cm high per letter
XL 50cm - 100cm high per letter
The width of the sign will be to scale for the letter size.

All orders are sent into production on the day of the purchase. Our target turn around is 15-25 days from purchase. However this can be affected by circumstances out of our control such as NZ-wide courier delivery times and public holidays.

If your neon sign is urgent, or you require it for a specific date - we understand. Please contact us and request an 'urgent turnaround’.

The majority of our neons are in stock and ready to ship upon request. However due to popular demand some of our neon signs can at times be out of stock. This will be clearly stated on the product page before you add the neon to your cart. Any sign on pre-order will state on the page when we expect stock to arrive. If not stated then will incur a standard delivery lead time of 20-25 business days.

If you are dying for your neon to arrive (we can't blame you), then we can arrange this for you. This request will require a rush fee for delivery on a case by case basis.
